Sveza was ranked second among Russian forestry companies in the annual consolidated ESG ranking INFRAGREEN 2022.
The ranking for 2022 was developed by expert-analytical platform Infrastructure and Finance for Sustainable Development infragreen.ru. The experts analyzed 27 rating lists including 548 companies from 15 industries. The scope of evaluation included all three ESG factors (environmental, social, and corporate governance), one or two factors, and subfactors.
The number of rating lists featuring a company shows how seriously the company takes and communicates the ESG agenda. In addition, the consolidated score from all ratings is a measure of the quality of the company’s non-financial disclosures.
The consolidated score of 11 forestry companies included in the INFRAGREEN ranking in 2022 totaled 756.96. The average score was 68.78. Sveza was evaluated by five rating lists scoring 171.32 points in total and making to the second position among Russia’s forestry companies.
“The ESG agenda continues to be an important topic for the Russian business, and the Russian forest industry in particular. In spite of enormous pressure, we remain committed to doing business in strict compliance with the international standards and are always willing to confirm the sustainability of our products and services. Sveza continues to implement its ESG strategy adopted in 2019. We are delighted that our work is recognized and praised by industry experts and analysts,” says Valentina Likhacheva, Director for Corporate Communications and Sustainable Development at Sveza.
