Sveza in St. Petersburg increases production of fuel briquettes fivefold
Made from 100% birch, Sveza’s fuel briquettes have become a sought-after alternative to traditional fuels after several years on the market. Driven by steadily rising demand, production in St. Petersburg increased fivefold by October 2025, with shipments reaching 234 tons per month.
A key factor behind this growth was the investment project, which modernized the feeding line for fine-fraction wood briquettes, upgraded the site’s dust suction system, and implemented noise-reduction solutions.
“Sales have been rising month by month: we shipped 40 tons in August, 78 tons in September, and by October shipments reached 234 tons. Even with increased output, virtually all volumes are dispatched directly to customers without the need for storage. By the end of 2025, we plan to ramp-up production to 330 tons per month,” said Sergey Korkin, Head of Bioproducts Business at Sveza.
Today, Sveza Bioproduct is focused on serving the domestic market. The production capacity of the St. Petersburg site is sufficient to fully supply local residents with biofuel.
