Organizational Changes at SVEZA Group

On December 12, 2016, Anatoly Frishman — the former CEO of Severstal-Metiz — was appointed as the CEO of SVEZA Group, the global leader in birch plywood production. Aleksandr Shevelev took the position as the CEO of Severstal Management. Roman Muzyka has been appointed to the position of S&M Director as of December 01, 2016.
Upon their appointment, Anatoly Frishman and Roman Muzyka will focus on strengthening the leading position of SVEZA Group in the global plywood market, while ensuring the growth of production and achieving financial targets. The top priorities will include improvement of customer service and operating efficiency of the company, as well as creating a more competitive product portfolio.
As SVEZA is committed to continuous improvement of labor conditions and personnel safety, there will be major focus on enhancement of production safety procedures.
Aleksey Mordashov, the CEO of Severgroup, pointed out the ambitious plans of SVEZA Group and expressed confidence that Anatoly Frishman would succeed in the new position thanks to his commitment and responsibility.
Anatoly Frishman was born in 1977. Graduated from Moscow State University of Environmental Engineering majoring in Mechanical Engineering. He holds the MBA degree of Northumbria University (Newcastle, Great Britain). He worked at Severstal-Metiz from the year 2000 in Procurement Department in various positions — from an Engineer to the Head of Department. He held the position of the CEO of Steellace from 2005 to 2008; he worked at Business Development Directorate of Severstal-Metiz in 2008−2009. Afterwards, he headed Techi Rus from 2009 untill 2011 and headed Rope Department of Severstal-Metiz from 2011 untill 2014. In October 2014, he was appointed as the Director of Redaelli CCM. He has been the CEO of Severstal-Metiz from April 01 untill December 11, 2016.
Graduated from Ural State Technical University majoring in Organization and Management of Foreign Economic Activity Enterprises in 1998. He has long and successful experience in sales and marketing at such companies like International Paper, Lhoist Group, Procter & Gamble, Schwarzkopf & Henkel Cosmetics.
